Safe Exchange Zone

Buying and selling things online? That’s just one reason the Redcliff RCMP detachment is introducing a Safe Exchange Zone to help provide a safe place for people to meet. The Safe Exchange Zone is located in the parking lot of the Redcliff RCMP detachment, located at 301 Mitchell St. SE in Redcliff. Cypress County Mountie Cst. Rebecca Wilke believes this area will provide peace of mind and a added level of comfort to those meeting strangers for online purchases, child custody exchange or any face to face meetings. The Safe Exchange Zone in the parking lot is accessible 24/7, however residents are encouraged to visit during daytime hours. Officers are not available to supervise these meetings or help people negotiate sales.
