Council Meeting Information

Do you know all Council meetings are open to the public?

Meetings begin at 7:00pm. and are open to the public to attend In Person or Live electronically via Microsoft Teams. Meetings will be recorded and made available for viewing on the Town of Redcliff YouTube channel at the earliest opportunity.

Town of Redcliff staff will make every effort to ensure the meetings are Live, however, we have occasionally experienced technical difficulties outside the Town’s control that may affect the meeting and recording.

Public Participation / Notification

Council Agendas are made public at least 48 hours prior to the meeting. Council meetings can be viewed via the Teams Link provided on the meetings agendas.

If I attend the live Council meeting electronically, how does it work?

Go to Redcliff.ca https://redcliff.civicweb.net/Portal/MeetingTypeList.aspx

Find the appropriate Town Council meeting and click the link to the upcoming Agenda. You will find a Microsoft Teams “Join the Meeting Now” Link.

Click the link to Join the Meeting.
Once in the meeting there are a few things to know:
Joining the meeting will bring you into the Meeting Lobby and the Teams Organizer will let you into the meeting
You have the option to have your camera on or off
Your microphone will be muted at all times as Council meetings are view only unless direct participation has been requested prior to the meeting as a Delegation to Speak to Council. a Public Hearing, or other formal presentation has been arranged.
Closed Session-When Council moves into closed session the Teams Organizer will automatically remove all attendants into a Breakout Room. When the meeting returns to Open Session, attendees will be brought back into the main meeting.

There are a number of ways that direct participation can take place:

Request to attend as a delegation to speak to council as per the Town of Redcliff Procedural Bylaw;
Take part in Public Hearings, answer surveys, attend open houses or information sessions; and
Speak directly with your elected officials.
