River Update: High Streamflow Advisory & Precautionary Measures in Place
The Town of Redcliff is taking proactive steps as river flows increase, including the temporary closure of the River Valley Park Boat Launch and associated trail systems. These measures are being implemented out of caution to help ensure public safety.
While river levels are higher than normal and are expected to rise over the coming days, they remain well below flood levels. At this time, there is no anticipated risk of overland flooding.
Residents are asked to:
- Be aware that conditions are continuously changing over the next 72 hours
- Respect all closures and posted signage
- Stay back from riverbanks and fast-moving water
- Avoid low-lying areas adjacent to the river
Town staff continue to monitor conditions closely and will provide updates as necessary.
