High Streamflow Advisory in affect.
River levels on the South Saskatchewan River are expected to rise over the next several days, with peak flows anticipated on Thursday, July 2nd. While elevated water levels are expected, there is no flood risk anticipated for the Town of Redcliff at this time.
Residents and visitors are encouraged to use caution when accessing River Valley Park, including the trail system and off-leash area. Riverbanks may be unstable, and the water will be colder, faster, and higher than normal.
The boat launch will remain closed until river flows return to normal seasonal levels.
Please stay back from the river’s edge, supervise children and pets, and exercise caution when recreating near the water.
