Town crews are currently completing sanitary sewer main flushing throughout Redcliff.
Sanitary main flushing is an important part of regular sewer system maintenance. High pressure water is used to clean the sewer mains and remove accumulated debris, grease, and other materials that can contribute to blockages and sewer backups.
Residents may notice gurgling or bubbling sounds from toilets or drains during flushing or draining. In some cases, changes in air pressure within the sewer system may cause water in plumbing traps or toilets to move or splash.
Residents may also notice sewer odours inside their homes and businesses. These effects are temporary and should return to normal once flushing in your area is complete.
