Following an extended period of rainy weather, grass and weeds have grown rapidly throughout the community. Town crews are actively maintaining public spaces, and we ask residents to do their part by inspecting and maintaining the alley adjacent to their property.
Under the Town of Redcliff’s Nuisance and Unsightly Premises Bylaw, property owners are responsible for maintaining the alley from their property line to the centre line of the alley.
Please take a few minutes to check for:
• Grass and weeds that require cutting.
• Fallen tree branches, garbage, debris, and discarded materials.
• Trees and shrubs that have become overgrown and extend into the alley.
Well-maintained alleys help keep our community clean, safe, and accessible. They improve neighbourhood appearance, reduce fire hazards, discourage illegal dumping, and ensure safe access for waste collection, utility crews, emergency services, and residents.
If you have questions about your responsibilities under the Town’s Nuisance and Unsightly Premises Bylaw, or would like to discuss an area that may require assistance to come into compliance, please contact Redcliff Bylaw at bylaw@redcliff.ca
